  1. Assist pharmacists in accurately and efficiently filling prescriptions for patients.
  2. Prepare medications by counting, measuring, and labeling according to established procedures.
  3. Maintain inventory and order necessary supplies to ensure adequate stock levels.
  4. Update patient records and billing information in the pharmacy system.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication dosages and interactions.
  6. Handle cash transactions and process insurance claims accurately.
  7. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and address any inquiries or concerns.
  8. Adhere to all safety and quality standards in the handling and dispensing of medications.
  9. Keep up-to-date with new medications and regulations in the pharmacy field.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  11. Assist in training new pharmacy technicians and interns.
  12. Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality.
  13. Communicate effectively with patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
  14. Identify and report any potential medication errors or discrepancies.
  15. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Basic Educational Requirement For Most Pharmacy Technician Positions Is A High School Diploma Or Ged. This Ensures That Candidates Have A Basic Understanding Of Math, Science, And Communication Skills.

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht) Certification: Kettering Health Network May Require Candidates To Hold A Cpht Certification From A Recognized Organization Such As The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb).
