Responsibilities:

1. Dispense medication to patients in accordance with the physician’s orders, state laws, and organization policies and procedures.
2. Consult with patients and other healthcare professionals regarding medication information and possible drug interactions.
3. Monitor and evaluate patient response to medications and adjust dosages accordingly.
4. Compound and prepare medications for use in patient treatments.
5. Compile, record, and maintain patient medication profiles.
6. Provide accurate and timely advice to patients, staff, and other health professionals regarding medication use.
7. Monitor and ensure the accuracy of all orders, prescriptions, and other documents related to medication transactions.
8. Maintain the highest standards of professional practice and ethical conduct.
9. Ensure that all medication orders are authorized and filled in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
10. Remain up to date on the latest developments in the field of pharmacy.
