  1. Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff through constant monitoring and patrolling of facility grounds.
  2. Respond promptly and effectively to any potential security threats or emergency situations.
  3. Enforce hospital policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals on the premises.
  4. Conduct regular security checks of all areas of the hospital to identify and address any potential hazards or vulnerabilities.
  5. Provide assistance and support to hospital staff in handling difficult or escalated situations.
  6. Serve as a liaison between the hospital and local law enforcement agencies, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  7. Investigate and document any security incidents or suspicious activities, and report findings to appropriate personnel.
  8. Maintain accurate and detailed records and reports related to security activities, including incident reports and daily activity logs.
  9. Continuously monitor and evaluate security procedures and protocols, and make recommendations for improvements as needed.
  10. Attend and participate in trainings, meetings, and workshops to stay updated on security policies, procedures, and best practices.
  11. Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
  12. Collaborate with other members of the security team to ensure seamless operation and coverage of the entire facility.
  13. Adhere to all legal and ethical standards, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to security and law enforcement.
  14. Uphold the values and mission of Kettering Health Network, and act as a positive representative of the organization at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Law Enforcement Or Security, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Security Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Certification As A Police Officer Or Security Professional, Such As Peace Officer Standards And Training (Post) Or Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (Chpa).

  • Strong Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Laws And Regulations Related To Healthcare Security And Law Enforcement.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment.
