
Network Buyer - Biomedical Engineering
Kettering Health Network is looking for a Network Buyer to join our biomedical engineering team. As a Network Buyer, you will be responsible for purchasing parts, tools, and supplies for our biomedical engineering team. This includes researching products, managing contracts, evaluating suppliers, and negotiating prices. You will also need to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of ordering and delivery of parts.The ideal candidate would have a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field. They should also have at least two years of purchasing experience, preferably in a health care setting. Responsibilities of the Network Buyer include:
- Researching products, evaluating suppliers, and negotiating prices in order to purchase parts, tools, and supplies for the biomedical engineering team.
- Managing contracts to ensure accuracy and timeliness of ordering and delivery of parts.
- Ensuring all purchasing adheres to the organization's policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure the best quality and cost of goods and services.
- Analyzing and reporting supply trends to identify cost savings opportunities.
- Monitoring supplier performance and providing feedback.
- Assisting with the development of purchasing strategies and processes.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure purchasing needs are met.
