  1. Assist physicians and nurses in providing patient care by taking vital signs, recording medical history, and preparing patients for examinations.
  2. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all medical equipment is properly sanitized and stocked.
  3. Communicate with patients, scheduling appointments and relaying important information regarding their care.
  4. Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare professionals.
  5. Assist in procedures and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times.
  6. Document patient information accurately and maintain electronic medical records.
  7. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  8. Educate patients on procedures, medications, and post-care instructions.
  9. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
  10. Continuously update knowledge and skills through training and educational opportunities.
  11. Respond to patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  12. Take initiative in identifying and resolving issues and concerns in the workplace.
  13. Act as a positive representative of the organization, promoting a welcoming and compassionate atmosphere for patients and their families.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program: Candidates Should Have Completed A Formal Education Program In Medical Assisting, Which Typically Includes Coursework In Anatomy, Physiology, Medical Terminology, And Clinical Procedures.

  • Certification As A Medical Assistant: Kettering Health Network May Require Candidates To Have A Current Certification From A Recognized Organization, Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The American Medical Technologists (Amt).

  • Previous Experience In A Primary Care Setting: Prior Experience Working As A Medical Assistant In A Primary Care Setting Is Preferred. This Demonstrates The Candidate's Knowledge Of Primary Care Procedures And Ability To Work With A Diverse Patient Population.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Medical Assistants At Kettering Health Network Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Knowledge Of Electronic Health Record Systems: Proficiency In Electronic Health Record (Ehr) Systems Is Essential For Medical Assistants At Kettering Health Network. Candidates Should Have Experience Using Ehrs To Document Patient Information And Assist With Clinical Tasks.
