We are currently seeking a skilled and empathetic Mastectomy & Wig Fitter to join our team.   1. Conduct personalized fittings for breast cancer patients who have undergone mastectomies, ensuring proper sizing and comfort.
  2. Provide compassionate and empathetic support to patients during their mastectomy and wig fitting appointments.
  3. Maintain a high level of knowledge and expertise in mastectomy and wig fitting techniques, staying up-to-date with industry advancements and trends.
  4. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless and comprehensive care for patients.
  5. Educate patients on proper care and maintenance of mastectomy products and wigs.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient fittings, orders, and other pertinent information.
  7. Assist patients in selecting the appropriate products and accessories to meet their individual needs.
  8. Communicate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any issues or concerns.
  9. Provide exceptional customer service and address any questions or concerns from patients.
  10. Collaborate with insurance companies to ensure proper coverage and billing for mastectomy products and wigs.
  11. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of mastectomy and wig fitting.
  12. Uphold the values and mission of Kettering Health Network by providing compassionate and comprehensive care to patients.

Job Qualifications

  • Certification In Mastectomy And Wig Fitting: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Recognized Certification In Mastectomy And Wig Fitting, Such As The Certified Mastectomy Fitter (Cmf) Or Certified Wig Fitter (Cwf) Credentials.

  • Knowledge Of Breast Cancer And Related Treatments: A Strong Understanding Of Breast Cancer, Mastectomy Procedures, And Other Related Treatments Is Essential For The Role. This Includes Knowledge Of Post-Mastectomy Care And Products, As Well As Familiarity With Different Types Of Wigs And Hairpieces.

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: As A Mastectomy & Wig Fitter, The Candidate Will Be Working Closely With Patients Who May Be Going Through A Difficult Time. Therefore, Excellent Customer Service Skills, Empathy, And Compassion Are Essential To Ensure A Positive And Supportive Experience For Patients.

  • Experience In Fitting And Styling Wigs: Previous Experience In Fitting And Styling Wigs Is Preferred For This Role. This Can Include Experience In A Retail Setting Or Working With A Wig Supplier.

  • Attention To Detail And Organization: A Mastectomy & Wig Fitter Must Have Strong Attention To Detail And Be Highly Organized. This Includes Accurately Documenting Patient Information, Managing Inventory, And Ensuring A Clean And Organized Fitting Area.
