  1. Dispensing Medications: Accurately and safely dispense medications for long-term care patients based on prescriptions and physician orders.
  2. Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication management and patient care.
  3. Medication Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain appropriate levels of medication inventory, including ordering and restocking as needed.
  4. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about medication usage, potential side effects, and any necessary precautions.
  5. Medication Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent medication errors and ensure patient safety.
  6. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all medications dispensed, patient information, and interactions with healthcare team members.
  7. Pharmacy Compliance: Ensure all medications and pharmacy operations comply with state and federal regulations and guidelines.
  8. Quality Control: Perform regular quality control checks to ensure medications and supplies meet quality standards.
  9. Training and Development: Stay updated on industry developments, attend training sessions, and participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve knowledge and skills.
  10. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, family members, and healthcare professionals, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
  11. Organization and Time Management: Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and ensure timely medication dispensing.
  12. Teamwork and Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, and healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care for patients.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Ltc Pharmacy Technician At Kettering Health Network Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Is Able To Understand And Follow Instructions.
