We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Front Office Specialist to join our Primary Care team. As the first point of contact for our patients, the Front Office Specialist plays a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming environment. In this role, you will be responsible for managing patient appointments, verifying insurance information, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate must have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for providing compassionate care.   1. Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  2. Manage patient appointments by scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling as needed.
  3. Verify insurance information and ensure all necessary authorizations are obtained.
  4. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and courteous manner.
  5. Maintain patient records and ensure all paperwork is accurate and up-to-date.
  6. Collect and process payments from patients, including copays and deductibles.
  7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized front office area, including stocking supplies and organizing patient files.
  9. Communicate with patients regarding their upcoming appointments and any necessary follow-up care.
  10. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  11. Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and enhance the patient experience.
  12. Attend training and meetings as required to stay informed of any changes or updates in policies and procedures.
  13. Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accuracy and timely submission of claims.
  14. Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications
  • Education And Training: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required, But A Degree Or Certification In A Related Field Such As Healthcare Administration Or Medical Assisting Is Preferred.

  • Experience In A Medical Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Primary Care Or Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Front Office Role, Is Highly Desired. This Includes Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Understanding Of Insurance Processes, And Familiarity With Electronic Medical Records.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Front Office Specialists Must Possess Excellent Communication Skills In Order To Interact With Patients, Providers, And Other Healthcare Professionals On A Daily Basis. This Includes Being Able To Effectively Communicate Via Phone, Email, And In Person.

  • Organizational Skills: The Ability To Multitask And Stay Organized In A Fast-Paced Environment Is Crucial For A Front Office Specialist. They Must Be Able To Handle A High Volume Of Tasks While Maintaining Attention To Detail And Accuracy.

  • Customer Service Orientation: As The First Point Of Contact For Patients, A Front Office Specialist Must Have A Friendly And Professional Demeanor, And Be Able To Provide Exceptional Customer Service. This Includes Being Able To Handle Difficult Situations With Empathy And Maintain Patient Confidentiality.
