Job Description

Kettering Health Network is seeking an experienced, organized and detail-oriented Emergency Management Specialist to join our team and help ensure the safety of our patients, employees, and visitors. We are looking for a professional with excellent communication and problem-solving skills who can handle a high-pressure environment with grace and professionalism. The ideal candidate must be motivated and have a strong understanding of emergency management principles and practices.The Emergency Management Specialist will work closely with the Emergency Management and Safety teams to develop, implement, and maintain emergency plans, protocols, and procedures. This individual will also be responsible for coordinating emergency response training, drills, and exercises. The successful candidate must be able to prioritize tasks, communicate effectively, and work independently.Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management or related field• 5+ years of experience in emergency management• Demonstrated knowledge of emergency management principles and practices• Ability to think critically and problem solve• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and desktop publishing tools• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail• Ability to work independently and in a team environment• Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks• Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality

Responsibilities: • Develop, implement, and maintain emergency plans, protocols, and procedures. • Coordinate emergency response training, drills, and exercises. • Prioritize tasks, communicate effectively, and work independently. • Monitor local, state, and federal regulations and advise management on new or revised regulations. • Provide guidance and support to emergency management and safety teams. • Establish relationships with local, state, and federal agencies to ensure coordinated emergency response. • Develop and implement emergency preparedness education and training programs. • Prepare and review emergency response plans and protocols. • Coordinate emergency response operations and activities. • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of emergency plans and protocols. • Develop evacuation plans and procedures. • Respond to emergency situations and provide support and assistance. • Maintain records of emergency management activities and operations.
