  1. Oversee and manage all aspects of the nutrition component of our culinary operations.
  2. Ensure that all meals served to patients are nutritionally balanced, delicious, and meet dietary restrictions and requirements.
  3. Develop and implement nutrition and menu programs that align with our mission of providing high-quality care to patients.
  4. Monitor food production and service to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
  5. Create and maintain relationships with local farmers and suppliers to source fresh and healthy ingredients.
  6. Train and educate culinary staff on proper nutrition and dietary guidelines.
  7. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and dietitians to create specialized meal plans for patients with specific dietary needs.
  8. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with nutrition and safety standards.
  9. Manage inventory and procurement of food and supplies, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
  10. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, providing guidance and support to team members.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in culinary nutrition.
  12. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff regarding nutrition-related matters.
  13. Maintain accurate records and reports related to nutrition and food service.
  14. Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  15. Continuously seek ways to improve and enhance the culinary nutrition program.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition Or A Related Field: A Strong Foundation In Nutrition And Food Science Is Essential For A Culinary Nutrition Supervisor, And A Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Demonstrates A High Level Of Knowledge And Expertise.

  • Registered Dietitian (Rd) Certification: Kettering Health Network Requires All Nutrition Supervisors To Be Rd Certified. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has Met Rigorous Education And Experience Requirements And Is Qualified To Provide Evidence-Based Nutrition Care.

  • Leadership Skills: As A Supervisor, This Role Requires Strong Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage A Team Of Nutrition Staff And Collaborate With Other Departments. Previous Experience In A Supervisory Role Or Evidence Of Strong Leadership Abilities Is Preferred.
