As a Cook, you will play a vital role in providing delicious and nutritious meals to our patients, visitors, and staff.   1. Prepare and cook a variety of meals and dishes for patients, visitors, and staff at the Main Campus location.
  2. Ensure all meals are prepared and presented according to established standards and recipes.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the culinary team to plan and execute menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of patients.
  5. Continuously monitor and adjust food production to meet demand and minimize waste.
  6. Assist with inventory management, ordering, and receiving of food and supplies.
  7. Adhere to all dietary restrictions and allergen considerations when preparing meals.
  8. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, responding to any special requests or accommodations.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the quality and variety of our menu offerings.
  10. Maintain a positive and professional attitude, representing Kettering Health Network and our commitment to promoting health and wellness through food.

Job Qualifications
  • Culinary Education Or Equivalent Experience: A Cook At Kettering Health Network Must Have A Degree Or Certification In Culinary Arts Or A Related Field, Or Have Equivalent Experience Working In A Professional Kitchen.

  • Knowledge Of Nutrition And Dietary Requirements: Candidates For This Position Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Nutrition And Dietary Restrictions, Including The Ability To Prepare Meals For Patients With Specific Dietary Needs.

  • Experience In High-Volume Kitchen Environments: The Cook Will Be Responsible For Preparing Meals For A Large Number Of Patients And Employees, So Experience Working In A High-Volume Kitchen Is Essential.

  • Understanding Of Food Safety And Sanitation Regulations: Kettering Health Network Places A High Priority On Food Safety And Sanitation, And The Ideal Candidate Will Have A Thorough Understanding Of These Regulations And Be Able To Maintain A Clean And Safe Kitchen Environment.

  • Teamwork And Communication Skills: As Part Of A Larger Culinary And Nutrition Team, The Cook Must Be Able To Collaborate Effectively With Colleagues, Communicate Clearly With Supervisors, And Provide Excellent Customer Service To Patients And Staff.
