- Prepare and cook a variety of meals and dishes for patients, visitors, and staff at the Main Campus location.
- Ensure all meals are prepared and presented according to established standards and recipes.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate with other members of the culinary team to plan and execute menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of patients.
- Continuously monitor and adjust food production to meet demand and minimize waste.
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, and receiving of food and supplies.
- Adhere to all dietary restrictions and allergen considerations when preparing meals.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, responding to any special requests or accommodations.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the quality and variety of our menu offerings.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, representing Kettering Health Network and our commitment to promoting health and wellness through food.
Culinary Education Or Equivalent Experience: A Cook At Kettering Health Network Must Have A Degree Or Certification In Culinary Arts Or A Related Field, Or Have Equivalent Experience Working In A Professional Kitchen.
Knowledge Of Nutrition And Dietary Requirements: Candidates For This Position Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Nutrition And Dietary Restrictions, Including The Ability To Prepare Meals For Patients With Specific Dietary Needs.
Experience In High-Volume Kitchen Environments: The Cook Will Be Responsible For Preparing Meals For A Large Number Of Patients And Employees, So Experience Working In A High-Volume Kitchen Is Essential.
Understanding Of Food Safety And Sanitation Regulations: Kettering Health Network Places A High Priority On Food Safety And Sanitation, And The Ideal Candidate Will Have A Thorough Understanding Of These Regulations And Be Able To Maintain A Clean And Safe Kitchen Environment.
