- Accurately code outpatient medical records according to established guidelines and procedures.
- Review and analyze medical records to ensure appropriate coding and documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify coding and documentation discrepancies.
- Stay up-to-date on coding guidelines and changes in healthcare regulations.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity in coding processes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant coding and documentation standards.
- Participate in departmental coding audits to identify and address areas for improvement.
- Communicate coding updates and changes to relevant healthcare staff.

Certified Coding Credentials: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Have A Current And Valid Certified Coding Certification From A Recognized Organization Such As Ahima Or Aapc. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Thorough Understanding Of Coding Guidelines And Regulations.
Knowledge Of Hims And Op Coding: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Health Information Management Systems (Hims) And Outpatient (Op) Coding Processes. This Includes Knowledge Of Cpt, Hcpcs, And Icd-10 Coding Systems.
Experience In Hospital Setting: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Hospital Setting Is Preferred For This Position. This Experience Should Include Coding For A Variety Of Specialties And Familiarity With Electronic Health Records (Ehrs).
Attention To Detail: The Job Of A Coder Certified - Hims Op Coding Requires A High Level Of Accuracy And Attention To Detail. The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Consistently Producing Error-Free Coding And Maintaining A High Level Of Productivity.
Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Medicare, Medicaid, And Third-Party Payer Regulations And Guidelines. This Includes Knowledge Of Coding And Billing Compliance, As Well As Familiarity With The National Correct Coding Initiative (Ncci) And Other Regulatory Requirements.
