  1. Accurately code and classify medical records in accordance with established coding guidelines and standards.
  2. Analyze and review clinical documentation to ensure appropriate code assignments and optimal reimbursement.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members to resolve coding and documentation issues.
  4. Maintain a thorough understanding of current coding and reimbursement regulations and guidelines.
  5. Keep up-to-date with changes and updates in the healthcare industry related to coding and documentation.
  6. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of coded data for quality and compliance purposes.
  7. Utilize electronic health record systems and coding software to accurately assign codes.
  8. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards related to coding and patient privacy.
  9. Participate in coding audits and provide feedback for improvement.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members and healthcare providers to clarify coding questions and discrepancies.
  11. Maintain a high level of productivity while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
  12. Collaborate with billing and revenue cycle teams to ensure timely and accurate submission of claims.
  13. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with coding best practices and changes in regulations.
  14. Assist with coding-related inquiries and provide support to other team members as needed.
  15. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and excellence in patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Proficiency In Coding Standards: A Coder Certified At Kettering Health Network Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Coding Guidelines And Principles, Including Icd-10, Cpt, And Hcpcs Codes.
