  1. Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the overall quality of patient care across multiple locations within the healthcare network.
  2. Oversee and manage the medical staff at each location, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and best practices.
  3. Collaborate with other leaders within the organization to develop and promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  4. Analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to address any issues.
  5. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to care.
  6. Serve as a mentor and coach to medical staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  7. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of patient safety and satisfaction.
  8. Stay current on industry trends and advancements in medical technology, and make recommendations for their implementation within the network.
  9. Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage budgets for medical services and programs.
  10. Represent the healthcare network at conferences, meetings, and other events to promote our mission and vision.
  11. Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards, including HIPAA and other privacy regulations.
  12. Lead and participate in committees and task forces to address specific issues or initiatives within the healthcare network.
  13. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes diversity and cultural sensitivity.
  14. Develop and maintain relationships with external healthcare organizations and partners to enhance the network's reputation and reach.
  15. Regularly communicate with executive leadership to provide updates on the medical operations and seek guidance on key decisions.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Chief Medical Officer At Kettering Health Network Must Hold A Doctor Of Medicine (Md) Or Doctor Of Osteopathic Medicine (Do) Degree From An Accredited Medical School.

  • Board Certification: The Candidate Must Be Board Certified In Their Area Of Specialty By The American Board Of Medical Specialties (Abms) Or The American Osteopathic Association (Aoa).

  • Leadership Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting. This Includes Experience In Managing A Large Team, Implementing Strategic Initiatives, And Developing And Managing Budgets.

  • Clinical Experience: The Chief Medical Officer Must Have A Strong Clinical Background And A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience Practicing Medicine. This Should Include Experience In Both Inpatient And Outpatient Settings, As Well As Experience With Electronic Medical Records And Quality Improvement Initiatives.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Chief Medical Officer Must Have Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, To Effectively Communicate With A Diverse Group Of Stakeholders Including Physicians, Staff, And Community Members. They Must Also Possess Strong Interpersonal Skills To Build And Maintain Relationships With Key Stakeholders And Foster A Positive Work Culture.
