  1. Provide high-quality care and support to athletes of all levels, from high school to professional, using your expertise in sports medicine.
  2. Work collaboratively with coaches, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans for athletes.
  3. Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of injuries to determine the appropriate course of action.
  4. Design and implement rehabilitation programs to aid in the recovery of injured athletes.
  5. Educate athletes on injury prevention techniques and proper body mechanics to optimize performance.
  6. Administer first aid and emergency care as needed during sporting events and practices.
  7. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for athletes.
  8. Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in sports medicine to continuously improve the quality of care provided.
  9. Communicate effectively with athletes, coaches, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to athlete care.
  10. Adhere to all ethical and legal guidelines related to the practice of athletic training.
  11. Demonstrate strong leadership skills and serve as a role model for athletes in promoting health and wellness.
  12. Participate in community outreach programs and events to promote the importance of sports medicine and injury prevention.
  13. Continuously assess and improve athletic training protocols and procedures to ensure the best possible outcomes for athletes.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
  15. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for athletes and staff.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Athletic Training Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Athletic Training Is Typically Required For A Position As An Athletic Trainer At Kettering Health Network. Candidates May Also Have A Degree In A Related Field Such As Sports Medicine Or Exercise Science.

  • Certification By The Board Of Certification (Boc): All Athletic Trainers At Kettering Health Network Must Be Certified By The Boc, Which Is The National Accrediting Body For Athletic Trainers. This Certification Requires Passing A Comprehensive Exam And Completing Ongoing Continuing Education.

  • State Licensure: In Addition To Boc Certification, Athletic Trainers At Kettering Health Network Must Also Hold A State License To Practice. Requirements For Licensure Vary By State, But Typically Include Passing An Exam And Completing A State-Approved Athletic Training Program.

  • Experience Working With Athletes: Kettering Health Network May Prefer Candidates With Previous Experience Working With Athletes, Particularly In A Sports Medicine Setting. This Could Include Experience Providing On-Field Care, Developing Injury Prevention Programs, And Working Collaboratively With Other Healthcare Professionals.
