We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Anesthesia Technician to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our anesthesia providers to ensure the safe and effective delivery of anesthesia to our patients.   1. Assist anesthesia providers in the preparation, setup, and maintenance of anesthesia equipment and supplies for surgical procedures.
  2. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of anesthesia supplies and equipment, ensuring proper functioning and availability for procedures.
  3. Prepare and transport patients for anesthesia procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  4. Collaborate with anesthesia providers to obtain and document patient information, such as vital signs, medical history, and medication allergies.
  5. Assist with the administration of anesthesia medications and fluids, under the direction of anesthesia providers.
  6. Monitor patient response to anesthesia and report any changes or concerns to anesthesia providers.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  8. Provide support to anesthesia providers during emergency situations and assist with patient resuscitation as needed.
  9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of anesthesia procedures, patient information, and equipment maintenance.
  10. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on advancements and changes in anesthesia technology and procedures.
  11. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
  12. Uphold and promote Kettering Health Network's mission, values, and standards of ethical behavior in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Formal Education And Certification: Candidates Should Have A High School Diploma Or Equivalent, As Well As Completion Of An Accredited Anesthesia Technician Program And Certification Through The American Society Of Anesthesia Technologists And Technicians (Asatt).

  • Knowledge Of Anesthesia Equipment And Procedures: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Different Types Of Anesthesia Equipment, As Well As Experience With Setting Up And Troubleshooting Equipment During Procedures.

  • Attention To Detail And Ability To Work Under Pressure: Anesthesia Technicians Must Be Detail-Oriented And Able To Work Efficiently In High-Pressure Situations, As They Often Assist With Multiple Procedures Simultaneously.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: Anesthesia Technicians Work Closely With Anesthesiologists, Surgeons, And Other Healthcare Professionals, So Effective Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.

  • Physical Stamina And Dexterity: This Job Requires Prolonged Periods Of Standing, Walking, And Lifting Heavy Equipment, So Candidates Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform The Necessary Tasks With Ease. Dexterity And Hand-Eye Coordination Are Also Important For Handling Delicate Equipment And Assisting With Procedures.
