  1. Provide exceptional patient care: The primary responsibility of the Advanced Practice Provider will be to provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in our hospital setting.
  2. Collaborate with the Hospitalist team: The Advanced Practice Provider will work closely with the hospitalist team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of patient care. This includes collaborating on treatment plans, conducting daily rounds, and communicating any changes or updates in patient status.
  3. Conduct patient assessments: The Advanced Practice Provider will be responsible for conducting thorough patient assessments, including physical exams and reviewing medical history, to determine the best course of treatment.
  4. Order and interpret diagnostic tests: The Advanced Practice Provider will be responsible for ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as blood work or imaging, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  5. Prescribe medications: Based on patient assessments and in collaboration with the hospitalist team, the Advanced Practice Provider will prescribe medications and adjust dosages as needed.
  6. Educate patients and families: The Advanced Practice Provider will educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatment plans, and any necessary lifestyle changes.
  7. Document patient care: Accurate and timely documentation of patient care is crucial in maintaining high-quality healthcare services. The Advanced Practice Provider will be responsible for documenting all patient interactions and treatment plans in electronic medical records.
  8. Stay up-to-date on medical advancements: The Advanced Practice Provider will stay current on the latest developments and advancements in hospital medicine and participate in continuing education to ensure the best possible care for patients.
  9. Adhere to legal and ethical standards: It is the responsibility of the Advanced Practice Provider to adhere to all legal and ethical standards in the provision of patient care.
  10. Provide support to other healthcare professionals: The Advanced Practice Provider will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and support staff, to provide comprehensive patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Licensure As A Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant In The State Of Ohio.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Hospitalist.

  • Certification As An Advanced Practice Provider (Np Or Pa) In The Specialty Of Hospital Medicine.

  • Demonstrated Knowledge And Proficiency In Acute And Critical Care Management.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced And Team-Oriented Environment.
