Admitting Representative

Kettering Health Network is seeking an Admitting Representative to join our team. This position requires excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, have strong attention to detail, and have a compassionate and caring attitude. Our Admitting Representatives play an integral role in helping our patients feel at ease while working directly with them and their families.The successful candidate must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of related experience, a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Candidates must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be proficient with computers and technology, and have knowledge of medical terminology. Responsibilities:

1. Greet and register patients, verifying insurance coverage and collecting necessary information
2. Answer patient inquiries and provide information on services offered
3. Ensure all patient data is accurate and complete
4. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a compassionate and caring attitude
5. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
6. Manage patient flow and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
7. Complete all necessary paperwork, forms, and other documents
8. Follow all hospital policies and procedures related to admitting
9. Utilize computer systems and technology to access and update patient data
10. Possess knowledge of medical terminology, insurance plans, and hospital regulations
11. Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
12. Assist with other duties as assigned
