Job Description

The Validation Engineer is responsible for validating the power and performance of our client’s industry-leading SATA and PCIE Solid State Drives for both Client and Enterprise. Architecting test strategy and working with development team to automate these tests. Analyze results, generate indicators and communicate status updates. Autonomously plans and schedules own daily tasks, develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgment. Generate/edit scripts to automate tests in all areas. Provide leadership, procedural expertise, relevant technical knowledge and training to teammates within the assigned tasks. Complete ambiguous multi-component tasks with little/no direction (significant development & debug tasks). Interface directly with debug and/or development teams to resolve low-level issues. Provide validation support for technicians and engineers, do initial triaging of bugs and issues, provide reports to engineers. Create test scripts using standard scripting languages to improve test cycle efficiency. Document and Communicate generated results.

Job Qualifications

  • Must have strong automation experience.

  • Very familiar with building systems (client and servers) at the hardware level (installing racks, etc.)

  • Understand BIOS, Drivers, Kernels, installing OS’s and using event logs and other debugging tools.

  • Experience in handling and taking measurements using DC Power analyzers a plus

  • SAS, SATA, PCIe and/or NVMe storage protocol experience is a plus
