- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of environmental health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and standards.
- Create and implement safety protocols and procedures to prevent workplace accidents and injuries.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks, and make recommendations for corrective actions.
- Communicate safety policies and procedures to employees and provide guidance and training on best practices for maintaining a safe work environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address any environmental health and safety concerns or issues.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in environmental health and safety to continuously improve and enhance our practices.
- Investigate and document all workplace incidents and accidents, and provide recommendations for preventing future occurrences.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures to ensure the safety of employees in case of a crisis.
- Monitor and report on key safety performance indicators to management and make recommendations for improvement.
- Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and participate in audits and inspections as needed.
- Lead and participate in safety committees and teams to drive a culture of safety and accountability throughout the organization.
- Stay current on all relevant safety regulations and ensure that all safety information and training materials are updated and readily available to employees.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as vendors and suppliers, to ensure their operations align with our safety standards.
- Continuously assess and identify potential safety hazards and make recommendations for improvements to processes, equipment, and facilities.
- Serve as a role model for safety and promote a positive safety culture throughout the organization.
Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety, Environmental Science, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In The Food Manufacturing Industry.
Knowledge Of Osha And Epa Regulations And Ability To Ensure Compliance.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Train And Educate Employees On Safety Procedures.
Experience Conducting Safety Audits And Developing And Implementing Safety Programs.
