  1. Conduct toxicological risk assessments on all current and potential products to ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
  2. Utilize your expertise in toxicology to identify potential risks and determine appropriate safety measures for product development.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate toxicology considerations into product design and development.
  4. Stay up-to-date on current toxicology research and trends to inform decision making and product development.
  5. Communicate toxicology findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management and regulatory agencies.
  6. Ensure adherence to ethical and regulatory standards in all aspects of research and testing.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with external toxicology experts and consultants to enhance expertise and knowledge within the company.
  8. Lead and participate in toxicology-related projects and initiatives to continuously improve processes and procedures.
  9. Train and mentor junior toxicology team members to promote growth and development within the department.
  10. Represent the company in toxicology-related conferences, workshops, and meetings.
  11. Collaborate with regulatory affairs teams to prepare and submit toxicology-related data and reports for product registration and approval.
  12. Ensure all toxicology data and documentation are accurately recorded, stored, and maintained in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
  13. Manage and oversee toxicology-related budgets, resources, and timelines.
  14. Foster a culture of safety and compliance within the company by promoting best practices and continuous improvement in toxicology practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Toxicology Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Toxicology Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For A Staff Scientist Position At Johnson & Johnson. A Phd Is Preferred.

  • Experience In Conducting Toxicological Studies: Candidates Should Have A Strong Background In Designing And Conducting Toxicological Studies, As Well As Analyzing And Interpreting Data. Experience With In Vitro And In Vivo Models Is Preferred.

  • Knowledge Of Regulatory Guidelines: Familiarity With Global Regulatory Guidelines For Toxicological Assessments, Such As Those From The Fda And Ema, Is Essential For This Role. Candidates Should Also Have Experience In Preparing Regulatory Submissions.

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: As A Staff Scientist, The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Scientific Information To Both Technical And Non-Technical Audiences Is Crucial. Additionally, Working In A Cross-Functional Team Environment Is A Key Aspect Of The Job.

  • Understanding Of Product Development Process: Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Product Development Process, Including Toxicology's Role In It. Experience With Risk Assessment And Management Is Also Desirable.
