- Conduct research and development of upstream processes for our biologic drug pipeline.
- Optimize and improve existing upstream processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including downstream development, analytical development, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless process integration.
- Analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions and recommendations for process improvements.
- Design and execute experiments to evaluate process parameters and identify potential areas for optimization.
- Develop and validate scale-down models for upstream processes.
- Write and review technical reports and documentation related to upstream development activities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines in the development and optimization of upstream processes.
- Mentor and train junior team members in bioprocess engineering techniques and methodologies.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in upstream development and incorporate them into our processes.
- Participate in the planning and execution of technology transfer to manufacturing sites.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including presenting data and findings to management and external partners.
- Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping of all experiments and results.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, in the laboratory and workplace.
Advanced Degree In Life Sciences: A Senior Associate Scientist Upstream Development At Johnson & Johnson Should Possess A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Or Molecular Biology. A Phd Is Preferred.
Extensive Experience In Upstream Development: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Upstream Development, Preferably In The Pharmaceutical Or Biotechnology Industry. This Should Include Experience In Cell Culture, Process Development, And Scale-Up.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Abilities To Design And Execute Experiments, Troubleshoot Issues, And Optimize Processes.
Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements: A Senior Associate Scientist Upstream Development Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Regulatory Requirements And Guidelines, Such As Cgmp And Ich Guidelines, To Ensure Compliance In All Aspects Of The Job.
