- Provide expert care to animal patients under the supervision of veterinary surgeons.
- Assist in surgical procedures, including pre-operative preparation and post-operative care.
- Monitor patient vital signs and assist with anesthesia administration.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all animal patients.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for both patients and staff.
- Use and maintain specialized medical equipment and technology.
- Collaborate with other team members to provide comprehensive care for animal patients.
- Educate and communicate with pet owners about post-operative care and medication instructions.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians.
- Assist with diagnostic procedures, such as X-rays and ultrasounds.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain compliance with regulations and standards.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through attending trainings and workshops.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the veterinary surgeons or management.
Certified Veterinary Technician (Cvt) Or Licensed Veterinary Technician (Lvt) With A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Surgical Or Clinical Setting.
Proficiency In Various Surgical Techniques And Procedures, Including But Not Limited To Anesthesia Monitoring, Surgical Instrument Sterilization, And Post-Operative Care.
Strong Knowledge Of Veterinary Medical Terminology And Ability To Accurately Record And Maintain Patient Medical Records.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced, Team-Based Environment.
Willingness To Work Flexible Hours, Including Evenings And Weekends, As Needed To Support The Surgical And Clinical Needs Of The Hospital.
