- Perform diagnostic vascular ultrasound procedures on patients, including but not limited to carotid, venous, and arterial studies.
- Operate state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment and maintain its proper function through regular maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely assessments of patient conditions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including images and test results, in accordance with departmental and institutional policies.
- Follow established protocols and safety measures to ensure the well-being of patients and staff during procedures.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the quality of ultrasound images and make necessary adjustments to optimize diagnostic accuracy.
- Educate patients about the procedures and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements and techniques in vascular sonography and incorporate them into daily practice.
- Participate in research projects and clinical trials related to vascular sonography.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor towards patients, families, and colleagues at all times.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of healthcare and patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans based on ultrasound findings.
- Attend departmental meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to departmental and institutional policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Bachelor's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Current Certification As A Registered Vascular Technologist (Rvt) Or Registered Vascular Sonographer (Rvs) Through Ardms.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Vascular Sonography, Preferably In A Hospital Or Academic Medical Center Setting.
Proficiency In Performing A Wide Range Of Vascular Ultrasound Procedures, Including Carotid, Venous, Arterial, And Transcranial Doppler Studies.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Diverse Team Of Healthcare Professionals.
