- Facilitate the transfer of innovative technologies from the laboratory to the marketplace.
- Develop and maintain relationships with researchers, industry partners, and investors to identify and evaluate new technologies for commercialization.
- Conduct market analysis and due diligence to assess the commercial potential of new technologies.
- Collaborate with intellectual property attorneys to protect and manage the university's intellectual property portfolio.
- Negotiate and execute technology transfer agreements, including licenses, option agreements, and material transfer agreements.
- Provide guidance and support to researchers in navigating the technology transfer process.
- Develop and implement strategies to promote and market university technologies to potential licensees and investors.
- Stay current with industry trends and regulations related to technology transfer and commercialization.
- Collaborate with the university's technology transfer team to develop and implement policies and procedures related to technology transfer.
- Represent the university at conferences, networking events, and other industry events to promote the university's technology transfer efforts.
- Work closely with university departments and external partners to coordinate the commercialization of technologies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of technology transfer activities and outcomes.
- Collaborate with other university departments to leverage resources and expertise in technology transfer efforts.
- Serve as a liaison between the university and industry partners to negotiate and resolve any issues related to technology transfer agreements.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the technology transfer process to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Engineering, Technology Management, Or Business Administration.
At Least 3 Years Of Experience In Technology Transfer, Intellectual Property Management, Or Commercialization Of Research And Development.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Patent Laws, Licensing Agreements, And Other Legal Aspects Of Technology Transfer.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Technical Information To A Diverse Audience.
Strong Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Manage Multiple Projects And Deadlines Simultaneously.
