
Stationary Engineer

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems and equipment, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and plumbing systems.
- Monitor and adjust building systems to maintain optimal functioning and energy efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues to determine appropriate repairs.
- Operate and maintain boilers, chillers, pumps, and other mechanical equipment.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory.
- Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance and repairs that may impact building operations.
- Respond to emergency requests for repairs and address issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures in the operation and maintenance of building systems.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to building systems and processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Train and mentor junior stationary engineers and assist with their development.
- Stay current on industry trends and advancements in building systems technology and apply knowledge to improve campus operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and properly store tools and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and campus staff to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
- Participate in on-call rotation and work occasional weekends or after-hours as needed.
- Represent the university in a professional manner and uphold its commitment to excellence in all aspects of the job.
Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A University Or Hospital Setting.
Must Hold A Valid Stationary Engineer License/Certification From An Accredited Institution Or State.
Strong Knowledge Of Building Systems And Equipment, Including Hvac, Plumbing, Electrical, And Mechanical.
Demonstrated Ability To Troubleshoot And Repair Complex Equipment And Systems.
