Sr. Training Specialist, SOM Finance

1. Develop and implement training programs and initiatives for the finance team in line with the goals and objectives of Johns Hopkins University.
2. Conduct training needs assessments to identify knowledge and skill gaps within the finance team.
3. Create and maintain training materials and resources to support effective and engaging training sessions.
4. Collaborate with subject matter experts to deliver training on financial concepts, policies, and procedures.
5. Utilize various instructional techniques and methods to ensure effective learning and understanding of financial principles.
6. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and metrics.
7. Continuously review and update training materials to ensure they are relevant and up-to-date.
8. Provide guidance and support to new hires and existing employees to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their roles effectively.
9. Serve as a mentor and coach to junior training specialists, providing guidance and support to develop their skills.
10. Collaborate with other departments and teams to identify training needs and opportunities for cross-functional training.

13. Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, from entry-level employees to senior leaders.
