
Sr. Training Specialist, SOM Finance

- Develop and implement training programs and initiatives for the finance team in line with the goals and objectives of Johns Hopkins University.
- Conduct training needs assessments to identify knowledge and skill gaps within the finance team.
- Create and maintain training materials and resources to support effective and engaging training sessions.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to deliver training on financial concepts, policies, and procedures.
- Utilize various instructional techniques and methods to ensure effective learning and understanding of financial principles.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and metrics.
- Continuously review and update training materials to ensure they are relevant and up-to-date.
- Provide guidance and support to new hires and existing employees to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their roles effectively.
- Serve as a mentor and coach to junior training specialists, providing guidance and support to develop their skills.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to identify training needs and opportunities for cross-functional training.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in training and incorporate them into the training programs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment within the finance team.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, from entry-level employees to senior leaders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and university policies in all training programs.
- Monitor and report on the progress and impact of training programs to senior management.
Extensive Experience In Developing And Implementing Training Programs For Finance Professionals.
Knowledge Of Financial Principles And Practices, Including Budgeting, Forecasting, And Financial Analysis.
Proven Ability To Design And Deliver Effective Training Sessions Using A Variety Of Methods And Techniques.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Individuals At All Levels Of An Organization.
Experience In Project Management And The Ability To Manage Multiple Training Initiatives Simultaneously.
