- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the university's technology infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
- Ensure the security and integrity of all systems and data.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to design, implement, and maintain new systems and technologies.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and make recommendations for their implementation.
- Oversee system upgrades and migrations.
- Provide technical support and assistance to university staff, faculty, and students.
- Develop and maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Train and mentor junior system administrators.
- Monitor system usage and provide recommendations for optimizing resources.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
- Coordinate with other departments and teams to ensure technology needs are met.
- Adhere to all university policies and procedures related to technology and data management.
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience Working As A Systems Administrator In A Large-Scale, Complex Environment
Extensive Knowledge Of Operating Systems, Such As Windows, Linux, And Macos
Experience Managing And Maintaining Virtualized Environments, Including Vmware And Hyper-V
Strong Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And Collaboratively In A Team Setting.
