  1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the university's technology infrastructure.
  2. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  3. Ensure the security and integrity of all systems and data.
  4. Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans.
  5. Collaborate with other IT teams to design, implement, and maintain new systems and technologies.
  6. Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and make recommendations for their implementation.
  7. Oversee system upgrades and migrations.
  8. Provide technical support and assistance to university staff, faculty, and students.
  9. Develop and maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures.
  10. Train and mentor junior system administrators.
  11. Monitor system usage and provide recommendations for optimizing resources.
  12. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts.
  13. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
  14. Coordinate with other departments and teams to ensure technology needs are met.
  15. Adhere to all university policies and procedures related to technology and data management.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience Working As A Systems Administrator In A Large-Scale, Complex Environment

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Operating Systems, Such As Windows, Linux, And Macos

  • Experience Managing And Maintaining Virtualized Environments, Including Vmware And Hyper-V

  • Strong Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And Collaboratively In A Team Setting.
