In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our campus community through the maintenance and operation of our state-of-the-art security systems.   1. Operate and maintain all security systems on the overnight shift to ensure the safety and security of the campus community.
  2. Monitor security systems and respond promptly to any alarms or issues that may arise.
  3. Regularly inspect and test security equipment to ensure proper functioning and make necessary repairs or replacements as needed.
  4. Collaborate with other security personnel and departments to coordinate security efforts and address any security concerns or incidents.
  5. Keep accurate records of all security system activity and provide detailed reports as needed.
  6. Stay updated on the latest security technology and industry trends to make recommendations for improvements to the security system.
  7. Train and educate staff and students on the proper use of security systems and procedures.
  8. Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities and make recommendations for improvement.
  9. Respond to emergency situations and provide support and assistance as needed.
  10. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all security-related matters.
  11. Adhere to all security policies, procedures, and regulations set by the university and relevant governing bodies.
  12. Continuously review and update security protocols to ensure compliance with best practices and regulations.
  13. Remain available for on-call duty and be willing to work flexible hours as needed.
  14. Act as a point of contact for security system vendors and assist with the procurement and installation of new equipment.
  15. Demonstrate a strong commitment to protecting the safety and well-being of the campus community.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In The Installation, Maintenance, And Troubleshooting Of Security Systems, Including Cctv, Access Control, And Intrusion Detection Systems.

  • Proficient In The Use Of Industry-Standard Software And Hardware For Security System Management, Such As Genetec, Lenel, And Honeywell.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Security Protocols And Procedures, As Well As Local, State, And Federal Regulations Related To Security Systems.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With A Diverse Team And Handle Sensitive Situations With Tact And Diplomacy.

  • Flexibility To Work Overnight Shifts, Including Weekends And Holidays, And Respond To Emergency Situations With Short Notice.
