Job Description

The Research Program Assistant will work as part of a collaborative research team on an ethnographic assessment of drug use and harm reduction capacity in Maryland counties from the perspective of people who use drugs and stakeholders. Conduct qualitative interviews related to drug use, related health and social issues, and opportunities for service enhancement and community engagement. Conduct appropriate informed consent procedures. Document interview summaries, observations, and field notes using a structured form. Contribute to qualitative data coding and analysis as required.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations, including people who use and/or inject drugs

  • Prior qualitative research training or experience or similar is required

  • Must have knowledge of drug use and related health issues.
