- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with research integrity and ethical standards.
- Provide guidance and support to faculty, staff, and students on research integrity and ethical conduct.
- Conduct trainings and workshops to promote awareness and understanding of research integrity and ethical practices.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify potential conflicts of interest and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and assess research activities to ensure compliance with funding agency regulations and institutional policies.
- Investigate and resolve allegations of research misconduct in a timely and thorough manner.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of research integrity and outside interests.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices related to research integrity and ethical conduct.
- Communicate regularly with research teams to provide updates and guidance on research integrity and ethical standards.
- Serve as a resource and point of contact for researchers seeking guidance on research integrity and ethical concerns or questions.
- Foster a culture of research integrity and ethical conduct through ongoing education and communication.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as compliance or legal, to ensure coordination and consistency in upholding research integrity.
- Participate in relevant committees and working groups related to research integrity and ethical conduct.
- Keep abreast of changes in regulations and policies related to research integrity and ethical conduct, and make recommendations for updates to institutional policies and procedures as needed.
- Uphold the values of academic integrity and promote a positive and ethical research environment.
A Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In A Relevant Field, Such As Research Ethics, Bioethics, Or Science Policy.
At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience Working In A Research Compliance Or Oversight Role, Preferably Within A University Setting.
Comprehensive Knowledge Of Federal Regulations And Guidelines Related To Research Integrity, Conflicts Of Interest, And Outside Interests, Such As The Federal Policy On Research Misconduct And The Public Health Service Financial Conflict Of Interest Regulations.
Strong Analytical Skills And Attention To Detail, With The Ability To Review And Interpret Complex Data And Policies.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Researchers, Administrators, And Other Stakeholders To Ensure Compliance With Research Integrity And Outside Interests Policies.
