  1. Install, maintain, and repair plumbing and piping systems throughout the Johns Hopkins University campus.
  2. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safe and efficient operation of campus infrastructure.
  3. Collaborate with other members of the facilities department to prioritize and complete plumbing and piping projects.
  4. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan and execute plumbing and piping installations.
  5. Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing and piping issues, and develop effective solutions.
  6. Utilize a variety of tools and equipment to perform plumbing and piping tasks, and ensure they are properly maintained.
  7. Monitor and maintain inventory of plumbing and piping supplies and equipment.
  8. Adhere to all relevant building codes, regulations, and standards in all aspects of work.
  9. Provide excellent customer service to university staff and students by responding promptly to plumbing and piping requests.
  10. Train and mentor junior members of the plumbing and piping team.
  11. Collaborate with external contractors and vendors as needed to complete complex plumbing and piping projects.
  12. Continuously improve skills and knowledge through professional development opportunities.
  13. Communicate effectively with team members and other university staff to ensure smooth and timely completion of plumbing and piping projects.
  14. Maintain accurate and organized records of all plumbing and piping work completed.
  15. Uphold the values and mission of Johns Hopkins University through all job responsibilities.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Pipefitting And Plumbing, Preferably In A Commercial Or Institutional Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Building Codes And Regulations Related To Plumbing And Pipefitting.

  • Ability To Read And Interpret Blueprints And Technical Drawings.

  • Proficiency In Operating And Maintaining A Variety Of Plumbing And Pipefitting Tools And Equipment.

  • Strong Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team.
