  1. Design and implement complex network infrastructure to meet the needs of Johns Hopkins University.
  2. Maintain and troubleshoot network systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address network-related issues.
  4. Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, procedures, and policies.
  5. Monitor network performance and make recommendations for improvements.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in network technology.
  7. Work closely with vendors to evaluate and implement new network solutions.
  8. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and colleagues.
  9. Conduct regular security assessments and implement appropriate measures to protect the network.
  10. Adhere to established network standards and protocols.
  11. Proactively identify and resolve network issues to minimize downtime and disruption.
  12. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours network support.
  13. Train and mentor junior network engineers.
  14. Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network services with other systems.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve network processes and procedures for efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Network Engineering, Preferably In A Large Enterprise Environment

  • Advanced Knowledge Of Cisco Routers, Switches, And Firewalls

  • Experience With Network Security Protocols Such As Vpn, Acls, And Encryption

  • Strong Troubleshooting Skills And Ability To Quickly Resolve Network Issues
