
Mental Health Services Clinician

- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions with students, utilizing evidence-based techniques and modalities to address a wide range of mental health concerns.
- Provide crisis intervention and emergency services as needed, including conducting risk assessments and creating safety plans.
- Complete thorough and timely documentation of all clinical services provided, including progress notes and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and integrated care for students.
- Participate in regular supervision and consultation with senior clinicians to enhance clinical skills and maintain ethical standards.
- Stay current on best practices and developments in the field of mental health to continually improve service delivery.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of programs and initiatives that promote mental health and well-being on campus.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all ethical and legal guidelines in the provision of mental health services.
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and culturally sensitive environment for students seeking mental health support.
- Serve as a resource and advocate for students, promoting awareness and understanding of mental health issues and resources available.
- Collaborate with campus partners, including academic advisors, residential life staff, and health services, to provide holistic support to students.
- Participate in outreach and educational activities to promote mental health awareness and destigmatize seeking help.
- Contribute to the maintenance and organization of client records, including data entry and record keeping.
- Support and uphold the mission and values of Johns Hopkins University in all interactions and activities.
Master's Degree In Counseling, Psychology, Social Work Or Related Field From An Accredited University.
Active License/Certification In The State Of Maryland As A Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (Lcpc), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Lcsw), Or Licensed Psychologist.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Mental Health Setting, Preferably Working With Diverse Populations.
Knowledge And Experience With Evidence-Based Treatment Approaches For Various Mental Health Disorders, Such As Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Cbt), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (Dbt), And/Or Psychodynamic Therapy.
Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Multidisciplinary Team.
