Welcome to the Maintenance Mechanic II position at Johns Hopkins University!   1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems and equipment such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with building systems and equipment to determine necessary repairs or replacements.
  3. Conduct preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all campus facilities.
  4. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of necessary tools and supplies for repairs and maintenance.
  5. Respond to emergency maintenance requests and perform repairs in a timely manner.
  6. Collaborate with other team members to plan and execute large-scale maintenance projects.
  7. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including work orders and equipment service history.
  8. Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  9. Provide excellent customer service to all members of the campus community.
  10. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices in maintenance and repair techniques.
  11. Participate in training and development opportunities to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  12. Adhere to all university policies and procedures related to maintenance and safety.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Maintenance And Repair Of Mechanical Systems, Preferably In A University Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Hvac, Plumbing, And Electrical Systems, As Well As Building Codes And Safety Regulations.

  • Proficiency In Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills To Diagnose And Resolve Maintenance Issues.

  • Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Manuals And Blueprints.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With A Diverse Team And Communicate With Faculty, Staff, And Students.
