- Manage all financial operations of Johns Hopkins University, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures in accordance with the university's strategic goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and laws, and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Collaborate with department heads and other university leaders to develop and monitor departmental budgets and provide guidance on financial matters.
- Identify potential financial risks and provide recommendations for mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and make strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Prepare and present financial reports to university stakeholders, including the Board of Trustees and executive leadership.
- Manage and oversee the university's investments and endowment, ensuring proper stewardship and maximizing returns.
- Oversee the university's financial aid programs and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Lead and develop a team of financial professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory agencies to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits and reporting requirements.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to higher education finance, and make recommendations for process improvements or changes as needed.
- Serve as a liaison between the university and external financial partners, such as banks, investment firms, and donors.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive financial information.
- Represent Johns Hopkins University in a professional and positive manner, promoting the university's mission, values, and culture.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Financial Management, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field.
Strong Understanding Of Financial Analysis, Budgeting, And Forecasting.
Knowledge Of Relevant Financial Regulations And Compliance Requirements, Such As Gaap And Irs Regulations.
