- Develop and implement a strategic vision for the Program for Applied and Advanced Learning (PAAL) in alignment with the overall goals and objectives of Johns Hopkins University.
- Lead and manage a team of educators to ensure the delivery of high-quality and innovative educational programs that meet the needs of students.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to design a cutting-edge curriculum that incorporates the latest research and best practices in education.
- Provide leadership and guidance to PAAL staff, including setting clear expectations, conducting performance evaluations, and identifying opportunities for professional growth and development.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including students, faculty, alumni, and community partners.
- Stay current on industry trends and developments in education to continually improve and enhance the PAAL program.
- Develop and manage the program budget, ensuring financial sustainability and responsible use of resources.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement to ensure the program meets its objectives and delivers a high-quality education to students.
- Represent PAAL and Johns Hopkins University at events, conferences, and other relevant forums to promote the program and build relationships with potential partners.
- Serve as a mentor and role model to students and staff, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
- Collaborate with other departments and programs within the university to promote interdisciplinary learning opportunities for students.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, including those related to accreditation and student success.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of PAAL and Johns Hopkins University through networking, marketing, and other strategic initiatives.
- Monitor and report on program outcomes and progress to university leadership and stakeholders, including providing regular updates and presentations.
- Act as an ambassador for the university and the PAAL program, promoting a positive and inclusive culture that reflects the values of Johns Hopkins University.
Extensive Experience In Performing Arts Administration And Management, Preferably In An Academic Or University Setting.
Strong Leadership Skills And The Ability To Effectively Manage A Diverse Team Of Staff And Faculty.
In-Depth Knowledge Of The Performing Arts Industry, Including Current Trends And Best Practices.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships With Internal And External Stakeholders.
Advanced Degree In A Related Field, Such As Arts Administration, Business, Or Higher Education, And A Proven Track Record Of Successful Program Development And Implementation.
