- Develop and implement a comprehensive engagement strategy for alumni, donors, and partners to support the mission and goals of Johns Hopkins University.
- Create and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including alumni, donors, and partners, to cultivate a culture of engagement and philanthropy.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams within the university to ensure alignment and integration of engagement efforts.
- Plan and execute engaging events and initiatives that bring together diverse groups of alumni, donors, and partners to foster a sense of community and support for the university.
- Utilize data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of engagement efforts and make data-driven decisions to continuously improve and evolve the strategy.
- Develop and oversee a team responsible for managing and executing engagement activities and events.
- Serve as a spokesperson for the university and effectively communicate the mission, vision, and impact of Johns Hopkins to various audiences.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in engagement and apply that knowledge to enhance the university's engagement efforts.
- Work closely with the development team to identify and cultivate potential donors and secure philanthropic support for the university.
- Represent Johns Hopkins University at conferences, events, and meetings to build relationships and advance the university's reputation and reach.
- Collaborate with other university leaders to develop and implement strategies for engaging diverse and underrepresented communities within the alumni and donor base.
- Develop and manage the engagement budget, ensuring effective and efficient use of resources to achieve engagement goals.
- Serve as a mentor and coach to team members, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their professional goals and contribute to the success of the department and university.
- Continuously evaluate and adapt engagement strategies to meet the evolving needs and interests of the university's diverse community.
Bachelor's Degree In Marketing, Communications, Or A Related Field
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In A Leadership Role In A Non-Profit Organization Or Higher Education Institution
Strong Understanding Of Fundraising Principles And Experience In Donor Cultivation And Stewardship
Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Engage And Motivate Diverse Groups Of Constituents
Demonstrated Success In Developing And Implementing Strategic Engagement Plans And Initiatives, With A Focus On Alumni And Donor Relations.
