  1. Collaborate with the Dean of Students to develop and execute strategic plans for enhancing the student experience and promoting student success.
  2. Oversee and manage various areas of student affairs, including but not limited to student counseling services, student conduct, and student health services.
  3. Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote a safe and inclusive campus environment for all students.
  4. Serve as a resource and support system for students, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
  5. Supervise and mentor a team of student affairs professionals, fostering their professional growth and development.
  6. Collaborate with faculty and staff to provide resources and support for students facing academic challenges.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to provide additional resources and opportunities for students.
  8. Advise and assist in the planning and execution of campus events and programs that promote student engagement and foster a sense of community.
  9. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of student services and programs, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
  10. Stay informed about current trends and issues in higher education and use this knowledge to inform decision-making and improve student services.
  11. Work closely with campus departments and organizations to ensure effective communication and coordination of efforts that impact student success.
  12. Serve as a representative of the university in various settings, advocating for the needs and concerns of students.
  13. Collaborate with the Dean of Students to develop and manage the department budget.
  14. Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the job.
  15. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that supports the mission and values of Johns Hopkins University.

Job Qualifications
  • A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Student Affairs, Preferably At A Large Research University Like Johns Hopkins.

  • A Master's Degree In Higher Education, Counseling, Or A Related Field.

  • Demonstrated Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team Of Staff Members.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Student Development Theories And Best Practices In Student Support Services.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With Experience Working With Diverse Populations Of Students And Faculty.
