Custodian, Housing Operations

1. Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks in campus residences, including but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing common areas, hallways, and individual rooms.
2. Ensure that all areas of campus residences are clean, safe, and presentable for students, faculty, and staff by following established cleaning procedures and schedules.
3. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
4. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and restock as needed.
5. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents or injuries while performing custodial duties.
6. Assist with move-in and move-out processes for students, including cleaning and preparing rooms for new occupants.
7. Communicate and collaborate effectively with the Housing Operations team to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
8. Provide exceptional customer service to students and other members of the university community by responding promptly and professionally to any requests or concerns.
9. Attend training sessions and meetings as required to stay updated on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and university policies.
10. Maintain a high level of professionalism and represent Johns Hopkins University positively in all interactions with students, faculty, and staff.
11. Perform other duties as assigned by the Housing Operations Manager or other designated supervisor.
