  1. Collaborate with the Vice Provost for Admissions & Financial Aid to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to attract and enroll top-tier students.
  2. Serve as a liaison between the Vice Provost and other university departments, ensuring effective communication and coordination of efforts.
  3. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the admissions and financial aid office, including budgeting, staff supervision, and resource allocation.
  4. Analyze data and trends to inform decision-making and make recommendations for improvements to the admissions and financial aid processes.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with high schools, community organizations, and other external partners to promote the university and recruit prospective students.
  6. Stay informed on industry best practices and regulations related to admissions and financial aid, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and policies.
  7. Work closely with the Vice Provost to develop and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives to attract a diverse student body.
  8. Plan and execute events and programs to engage with prospective students and their families, providing them with information and resources to aid in their decision-making process.
  9. Serve as a representative of the university at conferences, meetings, and events related to admissions and financial aid.
  10. Prepare reports and presentations for the Vice Provost and other university leaders on admissions and financial aid data, trends, and progress towards goals.

  • Extensive Experience In Higher Education Administration: The Chief Of Staff Should Have A Strong Background In Higher Education Administration, With A Deep Understanding Of The Admissions And Financial Aid Processes.

  • Strong Leadership And Management Skills: This Role Requires Someone Who Can Effectively Lead And Manage A Team, Delegate Tasks, And Make Strategic Decisions To Achieve The Goals Of The Admissions And Financial Aid Office.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Chief Of Staff Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Various Stakeholders, Including The Vice Provost, University Administration, Faculty, And Students. Strong Interpersonal Skills Are Also Essential For Building Relationships And Collaborating With Other Departments.

  • Analytical And Critical Thinking Abilities: The Chief Of Staff Should Possess Strong Analytical And Critical Thinking Skills To Evaluate Data And Make Data-Driven Decisions For The Admissions And Financial Aid Office. This Includes The Ability To Identify Trends, Foresee Challenges, And Develop Solutions.
