
Campus Security Systems Manager

- Develop and implement campus security systems strategies and plans in alignment with university policies and procedures.
- Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of all campus security systems, including access control, surveillance cameras, and intrusion detection systems.
- Ensure the timely and effective resolution of any technical issues or malfunctions with the security systems.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of current security systems and make recommendations for improvements as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and address security needs and concerns.
- Train and educate staff on the operation and maintenance of security systems.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory of all security equipment and ensure proper documentation and record-keeping.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in security technology to continuously enhance the university's security systems.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of security systems to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for any security-related incidents and provide support and guidance to campus security staff as needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective installation and maintenance of security systems.
- Prepare and manage the budget for campus security systems, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to financial guidelines.
- Remain available for on-call support and respond to emergency situations involving security systems.
- Promote a culture of safety and security within the university community through effective communication and outreach initiatives.
- Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to security systems and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Information Technology, Computer Science, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Managing Security Systems, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Network Security Protocols And Systems, Such As Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, And Access Control Systems.
Experience With Managing And Implementing Security Policies And Procedures, As Well As Conducting Risk Assessments And Developing Security Plans.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Various Departments And Stakeholders Within The University.
