  • Patrol campus grounds and facilities to ensure the safety and security of students, faculty, staff, and visitors
  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service and take appropriate action
  • Enforce campus rules and regulations, as well as state and federal laws
  • Build positive relationships with members of the campus community through regular interactions and effective communication
  • Provide assistance and support to individuals in need, including but not limited to medical emergencies, safety escorts, and vehicle assistance
  • Conduct investigations and gather evidence as necessary to resolve incidents and maintain campus safety
  • Write accurate and detailed reports of incidents, observations, and other information
  • Maintain a visible presence on campus to deter and prevent crime
  • Attend and participate in trainings, meetings, and other professional development opportunities
  • Serve as a role model for ethical and responsible behavior
  • Collaborate with other campus departments and external agencies to coordinate and support safety and security efforts
  • Continuously assess and identify potential safety hazards and recommend solutions to prevent them
  • Maintain a high level of physical fitness and attend regular physical and firearms training sessions
  • Uphold the mission and values of Johns Hopkins University and the Campus Police Department at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.

  • Must Be At Least 21 Years Of Age.

  • Completion Of A Certified Police Academy Program.

  • Valid Driver's License With A Clean Driving Record.

  • Ability To Pass A Background Check And Drug Screening.
