- Patrol campus grounds and facilities to ensure the safety and security of students, faculty, staff, and visitors
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for service and take appropriate action
- Enforce campus rules and regulations, as well as state and federal laws
- Build positive relationships with members of the campus community through regular interactions and effective communication
- Provide assistance and support to individuals in need, including but not limited to medical emergencies, safety escorts, and vehicle assistance
- Conduct investigations and gather evidence as necessary to resolve incidents and maintain campus safety
- Write accurate and detailed reports of incidents, observations, and other information
- Maintain a visible presence on campus to deter and prevent crime
- Attend and participate in trainings, meetings, and other professional development opportunities
- Serve as a role model for ethical and responsible behavior
- Collaborate with other campus departments and external agencies to coordinate and support safety and security efforts
- Continuously assess and identify potential safety hazards and recommend solutions to prevent them
- Maintain a high level of physical fitness and attend regular physical and firearms training sessions
- Uphold the mission and values of Johns Hopkins University and the Campus Police Department at all times.
Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.
Must Be At Least 21 Years Of Age.
Completion Of A Certified Police Academy Program.
Valid Driver's License With A Clean Driving Record.
Ability To Pass A Background Check And Drug Screening.
