  1. Develop and implement strategies to enhance research development efforts at Johns Hopkins University.
  2. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and external partners to identify and pursue research funding opportunities.
  3. Write grant proposals and manage the submission process, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  4. Provide guidance and support to faculty and staff in developing competitive grant proposals.
  5. Stay updated on funding trends and changes in research policies and regulations.
  6. Coordinate with various departments and offices within the university to facilitate interdisciplinary collaborations and initiatives.
  7. Foster a culture of diversity and inclusion in research by promoting equitable access to resources and opportunities.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with funding agencies, industry partners, and other external stakeholders.
  9. Monitor and track research funding and assist in budget planning and management.
  10. Participate in the evaluation and assessment of research projects to identify areas for improvement and maximize impact.
  11. Represent the university at conferences, meetings, and other events related to research development.
  12. Mentor and train junior staff and provide professional development opportunities for faculty and staff in research development.
  13. Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all aspects of the job.
  14. Stay updated on research compliance requirements and ensure all proposals and projects meet regulatory standards.

  • Advanced Degree In A Relevant Field: The Ideal Candidate For Associate Director For Research Development At Johns Hopkins University Should Possess An Advanced Degree, Such As A Phd, In A Relevant Field Such As Science, Engineering, Or Medicine.
