
Associate Director, Constituent Engagement & Alumni Relations, SAIS

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic individual to join our team as the Associate Director of Constituent Engagement and Alumni Relations at the prestigious School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead and shape the alumni engagement and fundraising efforts for one of the most renowned international relations schools in the world. - Develop and implement strategies to engage and cultivate relationships with SAIS alumni, including but not limited to events, communications, and volunteer opportunities.
- Work closely with the development team to develop and execute fundraising initiatives and campaigns targeted towards alumni.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for alumni inquiries and concerns, ensuring timely and effective responses.
- Manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, building strong relationships and soliciting gifts in support of SAIS.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams within the university to coordinate and maximize alumni engagement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive alumni database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Plan and execute alumni events, both on and off campus, to foster a sense of community and strengthen alumni connections to SAIS.
- Provide guidance and support to the SAIS Alumni Council, working together to enhance alumni engagement and philanthropic support.
- Develop and manage the budget for alumni engagement and fundraising initiatives, ensuring responsible and effective use of resources.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in alumni relations and fundraising, incorporating new ideas and strategies into SAIS's efforts.
- Represent SAIS and Johns Hopkins University at external events and conferences related to alumni engagement and development.
- Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to create and distribute compelling content to engage and inspire alumni to support SAIS.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including alumni, donors, faculty, and staff.
- Provide regular reports and updates on alumni engagement and fundraising efforts to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
- Continuously evaluate and improve alumni engagement and fundraising strategies and initiatives, measuring their impact and success.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Marketing, Communications, Or Public Relations.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Alumni Relations, Fundraising, Or Donor Engagement.
Strong Understanding Of The Higher Education Landscape And The Role Of Alumni In Supporting The Institution.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With A Diverse Group Of Stakeholders.
Demonstrated Experience In Developing And Implementing Successful Engagement And Fundraising Strategies.
