Johns Hopkins University is seeking an Associate Director of Annual Fund & Stewardship to join our dynamic and dedicated team.   1. Develop and implement annual fundraising strategies for athletic programs in collaboration with the Director of Development and other team members.
  2. Create and maintain relationships with donors to cultivate ongoing support and stewardship.
  3. Conduct research and analysis to identify new potential donors and funding opportunities.
  4. Oversee the creation and management of fundraising campaigns, appeals, and events.
  5. Collaborate with the communications team to develop compelling and impactful messaging for fundraising efforts.
  6. Utilize data and analytics to track progress and make data-driven decisions to improve fundraising efforts.
  7. Develop and maintain a comprehensive stewardship program for donors, including personalized acknowledgments and recognition opportunities.
  8. Manage a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects, including identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding relationships.
  9. Collaborate with coaches and athletic staff to identify fundraising needs and priorities for athletic programs.
  10. Serve as a knowledgeable and enthusiastic representative of Johns Hopkins University and its athletic programs at events and meetings.
  11. Stay current on industry trends and best practices in fundraising and development.
  12. Prepare and present progress reports and updates to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  13. Train and mentor other development team members on fundraising strategies and best practices.
  14. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with donors, volunteers, and colleagues.
  15. Participate in university-wide development initiatives and collaborate with other departments to achieve overall fundraising goals.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Marketing, Communications, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Fundraising, Preferably In Higher Education Or Athletic Development.

  • Strong Understanding Of Annual Fund Strategies And Best Practices, As Well As Stewardship And Donor Relations.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Donors, Volunteers, And Colleagues.

  • Knowledge Of Ncaa Rules And Regulations And Experience Working With Athletics Departments Is Preferred.
