  1. Provide administrative support to the Director of Research Administration in managing and overseeing research projects and initiatives at Johns Hopkins University.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with faculty, staff, and external partners to ensure smooth execution of research projects and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  3. Stay up-to-date on federal regulations and policies related to research administration and ensure that all projects are in compliance.
  4. Review and approve grant proposals, budgets, and contracts to ensure accuracy and adherence to university policies and regulations.
  5. Coordinate and manage grant submissions, progress reports, and other required documentation for research projects.
  6. Monitor and track budget expenditures for research projects and provide regular updates to the Director of Research Administration.
  7. Collaborate with other university departments to ensure smooth communication and coordination of research activities.
  8. Develop and implement standard operating procedures to streamline processes and improve efficiency in research administration.
  9. Train and mentor research staff on research administration policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  10. Serve as a point of contact for any inquiries related to research administration and provide prompt and accurate responses.
  11. Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations on research activities and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.
  12. Participate in professional development activities to stay current on trends and best practices in research administration.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Research Administration, Preferably In A University Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Regulations Related To Research Funding And Grant Management.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Faculty, Staff, And External Stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated Experience In Project Management, Budgeting, And Financial Analysis.
