  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive career and professional development program for doctoral students in the field of public health.
  2. Design and facilitate workshops, seminars, and individual counseling sessions to help students explore career options, develop job search strategies, and enhance their professional skills.
  3. Provide guidance and support to students in navigating the job market, including resume and cover letter reviews, job search techniques, and interview preparation.
  4. Collaborate with faculty and staff to integrate career development into the curriculum and ensure that students are prepared for successful careers in public health.
  5. Identify and cultivate relationships with potential employers in the public health field to create internship and job opportunities for students.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and labor market data to provide students with relevant and timely information about career opportunities.
  7. Develop and maintain resources and online tools to support students in their career development, including job boards, networking opportunities, and alumni connections.
  8. Serve as a mentor and advisor to students, offering guidance and support for their personal and professional growth.
  9. Collaborate with other departments and organizations within the university to promote career development opportunities and resources.
  10. Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of the career development program and make recommendations for improvement.
  11. Participate in professional development activities to stay current on best practices in career development and public health.
  12. Serve as a representative of the university at conferences and events related to career development and public health.
  13. Maintain confidential records and data related to student career development activities.
  14. Manage the budget for career development initiatives and programs.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Doctoral Life Design for Public Health.

Job Qualifications
  • Doctoral Degree In Public Health Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Student Affairs Or Career Services, Specifically Working With Graduate Students In A University Setting.

  • Strong Understanding Of The Challenges And Needs Of Doctoral Students In The Field Of Public Health.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With Ability To Collaborate And Build Relationships With Various Stakeholders Including Students, Faculty, And Employers.

  • Demonstrated Experience In Program Development And Management, Including Designing And Implementing Career Development Initiatives For Graduate Students.
