Job Description

At Johns Hopkins Medicine, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. We are looking for a professional who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care and has a commitment to excellence in their work. The successful candidate will be expected to have a minimum of a two-year associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field, or equivalent experience. They should have a strong knowledge of and experience with ultrasound equipment and be able to work well in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to act as an advocate for patients. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to improving the quality of care for our patients and to maintaining a positive working environment. Responsibilities:

• Perform ultrasound examinations on patients in a timely and professional manner.

• Accurately document results of each examination and report them to the ordering physician.

• Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment in order to ensure proper functioning at all times.

• Ensure proper patient preparation and positioning for each examination.

• Monitor and maintain quality control standards for all procedures.

• Follow all safety protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff.

• Educate patients and family members about the procedure, potential risks, and expected outcomes.

• Collaborate with other medical staff to ensure quality patient care.

• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

• Participate in continuing education activities to stay up to date with advancements in ultrasound technology.
