
Supervisor (Infection Control & Epidemiology)

- Lead and manage a team of infection control and epidemiology professionals, providing guidance, support, and supervision.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to prevent and control infections within the healthcare system.
- Train and educate staff on infection control and prevention measures, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential infection risks and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to coordinate infection control efforts and promote a culture of safety.
- Monitor and track infection rates, trends, and outbreaks, and report findings to management and relevant stakeholders.
- Stay updated on current infection control guidelines, regulations, and emerging infectious diseases to inform and improve department practices.
- Conduct investigations and root cause analyses of infection outbreaks, and develop and implement strategies to prevent future occurrences.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff regarding infection control policies and procedures.
- Encourage a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the department.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing, Public Health, Or Related Field.
Certification In Infection Control (Cic) From The Certification Board Of Infection Control And Epidemiology (Cbic).
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Infection Control And Epidemiology, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Multidisciplinary Teams.
Knowledge Of Current Infection Control Guidelines And Regulations, Including Those From The Centers For Disease Control And Prevention (Cdc) And The World Health Organization (Who).
